These side-gore boots, which have their roots in British riding boots, are said to have been named "Chelsea" after their popularity in the Chelsea district of London in the 19th century. While commonly used for formal footwear, their high functionality has long made them popular as work boots. The gore (rubber fabric) sewn to the side of the boot allows for smooth on and off, and provides a secure fit around the ankle to prevent mud and other debris from entering.

This classic Chelsea boot maintains its traditional style while offering a completely new level of comfort and ease. The insole uses the highly cushioned Poron material renowned for its Super Sole. A thin leather sheet is placed on top for added cushioning and comfort.
